I’ll confess, I am a terrible gift shopper. I always have the hardest time finding the perfect gift for friends and family. It’s that time of year when we’re all trying to figure out what to buy for the special peeps in our life. Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas to make shopping for the globetrotter in your life a little easier!

Maps and globes are a recurring theme in my home. As of now, we have four maps adorning our walls and two globes in our decor. This world map corkboard is a unique spin on the map decor idea, and it would be a great wall fixture for any wanderluster’s home base.
I’ve been purchasing and collecting patches during my travels for a while now, with the goal of creating the ultimate cool-girl-who-travels-a-lot canvas backpack look one day. Whether or not you plan to adorn this backpack with patches, it’s just a good classic, low key look for any traveler.
I bought one of these a few years back, and I absolutely love it. It’s a fun, unique way to keep track of (and subtly brag about) your adventures.
Packing cubes will change the way you pack forever. They organize everything, and allow you to pack 2-3 times more. And they’re so lightweight, they don’t add any weight to your luggage!
5. A Fun Camera
There’s something about film photos that just can’t be rivaled by digital. And then there’s something about instant film photos that just can’t be rivaled by traditional film. I don’t have one of these cameras yet, but it’s definitely on my list. I would love to document my adventures through a few of these shots.
For the constant wanderluster: 150 desinations, 36 hours in each place, countless itinerary combinations. The New York Times has a version for USA & Canada, Latin America & the Caribbean, and Europe, but I think the one that would come in handy most would be USA & Canada (if you, like me, are living in the USA).
Great on-the-go power that will come in handy on extended camping trips!
For the traveler who always has their nose in a book. Which is me, 100% every day of my life. I read on planes. I read in cars (only when I am a passenger of course). I read while waiting in line. I read at every chance I get. I can usually go through several books in one trip, so the invention of the e-reader was life changing for me. When I was young, I would pack my suitcase with books. Now I just load a bunch of books on my lightweight Kindle, stick it in my purse, and go!
Because cute adventure gear is a must.
I know I say it a lot, but I always carry a reusable water bottle with me, wherever I go. Especially when I travel. It’s just a very useful thing to have, and I believe everyone should have at least one!
